Customer Feedback

The one thing you really need when you are taking Premier League players away is Premier League facilities. That’s exactly what you get here. I haven’t seen anywhere better - it’s perfect. When I stepped onto the big training pitch and tested the grass I turned to the lads and said ‘My God this is absolutely fantastic.’ And once the players got out there with the ball they felt exactly the same, the grass and also the other synthetic training pitches were so inviting and so good.

A lot of the players said they’d love to take this green home with them, because in terms of top greens in the UK this is as good as any we play on, real quality. I said I'd love to come back if they make this an annual event and everyone here would love to give it another go, so to get the chance to play there again in October is simply fantastic.

The funny thing with players is that when you don't hear them - things are good. I didn't hear them complaining about the pitch, which is a compliment to the responsible people.

Crown green bowls may be seen as an 'Old Man's game' but in Portugal there was a vibrant buzz about the place...due to the young players who were involved with the Portugal Bowls Masters. Without a doubt, Oceanico is helping the sport to tackle its current image, and long may the relationship between the company and the sport continue.

Overall I would have no hesitation in stating that the Sports Club at Amendoeira is the premier destination for warm weather training in Europe.

It is very rare that bowlers are treated like VIPs but your competition did this from fantastic facilities and accommodation, to meeting some of the stars of world golf. Your generosity is appreciated by everyone.
